RUBBY DUB DUB!
I’m remembering King David and how God loved him and he loved God.
What a relationship they had. Even in David’s most unpopular moments, the love
that God had for him surpassed the raunchiness of David’s errors.
David had great training through the things he had to suffer.
My space is limited, so at this point read 1 Samuel 30:1-6.
People who look to you for a word from the Lord for direction,
and people who depend on your lovely leadership ability, can be spiritually draining…and sometimes you mess up.
There will be times you get it wrong.
Some of those same people cannot and will not be the ones to help pull you up,
they want to stone you! Stones with words like ‘false prophet’, ‘wanna be’, ‘liar’,
‘I knew he won’t no prophet’! While you are looking for somebody to stroke your
brow, tell you it’s okay, and hold your head up, it’s a blessed and good idea to encourage
yourself in the Lord. One good dose of Jesus Joy goes a mighty long way!
No doubt we all have days when we need somebody to help us make it through,
as difficult people and times occur.
Do we ALWAYS need to be caressed back into the happy place?
Exactly how much rubbing do you need to grow up, cheer up and move on?
Everybody doesn’t need to know how much you were hurt, and no one would know
if there wasn’t so much whining.
(Oh, boy). If there is a need for consultation God in His compassion will provide
the vessel and the venue. After a while of walking in this prophetic place, at some
point we should be able to encourage ourselves in the Lord.
Prophet, you’ve got what you need inside to encourage yourself in the Lord!
And just in case you have not arrived at that place of encouraging yourself, No Worries!
God has strategically placed a rubby dub dub hand of encouragement to get the fight back in you!
